Dilemma
George Orwell once wrote (in The Road to Wigan Pier, I think) that it is impossible for people to focus on creative pursuits if they have to struggle to make ends meet. I'd love to reflect on this further, but I really should be seeking gainful employment instead.
I am Ian and this is my blog. I'm an optimistic yet incredibly cynical Bennington alum who used to teach English in Japan's Yamanashi Prefecture. One of my co-workers recently described me as "somewhat of a writer," and I have a tendency to evoke more literary references than are necessary for a mass audience. If you can find anything here close to a consistent narrative, you're probably seeing something I've missed.

Its painfully true. I havent written anything worthwhile in months.
What about all those starving artists? Hmm. I guess they starved.
